I wish I had a perfectly “well and sound” Quran verse about the title. But, I could only find the below Hadith, which is Prophet Mohammed’s words:
“Everyone is born with the Islamic nature. Then, her parents make her a Christian, a Jew, or a Zoroastrian.” Source:(Buhârî, cenâiz 92; Ebû Dâvut, sünne 17; Tirmizî, kader 5)
What is the Islamic nature?
I believe it is the inner feeling/capability that each human being can discover the correct belief of the CREATOR of the “universe and us”.
The main element of this nature is to believe in ONE GOD.
How can it happen?
It is in our DNAs. It should be our purpose of life, to think about we exist but WHY? BY WHOM? I believe that the following SEED serves as a clear example of how God gave this capability into our HEARTS. As you see, any seed includes “baby roots and baby leaves” to grow when planted.
I think our hearts have these baby roots and baby leaves to find God when we were born as a human being in this world.
Prophet Abraham is a Great Evidence:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when ABRAHAM said to his father Azar, “Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error.” (74) And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith] (75)
So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a STAR 🌟. He said, “THIS IS MY LORD.” But when it set, he said, “I like not those that disappear.” (76)
And when he saw the MOON 🌙 rising, he said, “THIS IS MY LORD.” But when it set, he said, “Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray.” (77)
And when he saw the SUN ☀️ rising, he said, “THIS IS MY LORD; this is greater.” But when it set, he said, “O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah . (78)
Indeed, I have turned my face toward HE WHO CREATED the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah .” (79)
These verses tell us how Prophet Abraham (Pbuh) (by himself) found One God WHO CREATED, despite having a father worshiping Idols.
This 12 Years Old Boy Had a Similar Experience:
At 12, he (Justin) questions Christianity, and converts to Judaism. Then, he finally embraces Islam. His words about “the oneness of God, his love for Jesus, and that he could keep loving Jesus in Islam” are outstanding, in my opinion… A must-watch video…
What Quran Says:
So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allāh of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided. (Quran 30:43)
Abraham in Quran:
This was the advice of Abraham — as well as Jacob — to his children, ˹saying˺, “Indeed, Allah has chosen for you this faith; so do not die except in ˹a state of full˺ submission.” (Quran 2:132) Another translation:
And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], “O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims.” (Quran 2:132)
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah ]. And he was not of the polytheists. (Quran 3:67)
HEARTS ARE ASSURED:
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.” (Quran 13:28)
No Compulsion:
The Quran says no compulsion in belief:
There shall be NO COMPULSION in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong… (Quran 2:256)
Respect:
I am trying to let you know about the perspective that Quran gave us, I fully respect my dear Christian readers’ belief… Because something in the heart can never be changed from outside of the heart. I deeply respect any belief.
